Student Louie Winners—Best of Show and more!!!

Tim Waterfill is all smiles after winning "Best of Show" in the student category at the Advertising  Federation Louie Competition.Congratulations to Ivy Tech’s Visual Communication students, Tim Waterfill, Jessica Keatting, Danielle Torres, and Candace Rudd for their winning entries in the Advertising Federation Louie Competition! The awards show was last Friday, February 22 at the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville. Tim Waterfill won a Best of Show and a Gold Award for his Pat Harrison Dedication Brochure/Installation and a Silver Award for his Yo Yo Tokyo Restaurant Comprehensive Identity System; Jessica Keatting won two Silver Awards for her Velvet Snail restaurant packaging and restaurant menu; Danielle Torres won a Silver Award for her Cow Licks Identity System; and Candace Rudd won a Silver Award for her Self Portrait Photography. Students competed with these other schools in the region — Jefferson County Technical College, Sullivan College, and Western Kentucky.

The Best of Show was awarded to the best overall in the student category — congratulations to Ivy Tech Visual Communication student, Tim Waterfill!

All student winners are now forwarded to compete in the Regional Addy Competition.

Timeline PhotosCALLING ALL MURALISTS: Proposals for NoCo Alleyway Name Mural, 5,000 dollar commission, deadline June 16th JPAC is seeking 2D artists to submit a proposal for a name/text mural to be placed at the future entrance to the NoCo Arts and Cultural District. This mural will serve as a connection point for visitors between the public parking area and the district. The mural will be painted on the surface of a repurposed metal corrugated shipping container that is 40 feet X 8 feet. The mural will face the alleyway that will house the future NoCo Paint Box Garden (opens summer of 2021). The mural should feature the “NoCo Arts and Cultural District” name prominently. Congratulations to Aung Oo. His photograph "Under the Bridge" won a National Addy. We will find out on June 11th if it got Gold or Silver. This is very exciting as winning a National ADDY is statistically the most difficult creative award to receive. Congratulations, well deserved! ...
