Each semester, Ivy Tech’s Visual Communication Department invites professional creatives to critique student work. Students must present their work as they would to a real world client or employer. In doing so, students not only gain the experience of presenting in front of a group (the judges as well as their peers), they gain the insight provided by those who are working every day in the field of design. Jurors then select those pieces they feel demonstrate the best work. This semester’s jurors were Nick Gargala (Gargala Photography), Michelle Knox (Lone Red Design), and Philip Vetter (Illustrator, Motion Designer).
The following are those pieces our jurors felt were the best of the best. The opening reception of the gallery exhibit will be in the Pat Harrison Fine Arts + Design Gallery, Ogle Hall, on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30.
