Meet our Spring 2014 jurors!

Bob CorumBob Corum, is the senior graphic designer for the marketing and communications department at Indiana University Southeast. A graduate of the Ivy Tech Visual Communication program, he is now responsible for the concept, creation, and design of publications, marketing materials, and advertising at IU Southeast. Bob made a quick transition from college to career when he joined an advertising agency just two weeks after graduation. He shared his talents among the corporate, agency, and freelance sectors during his extensive career. He has won numerous awards and his work has been featured in several design publications.

 

 

 

 

 

L FriesenLeslie Friesen is both a professor and practitioner of graphic design. Since 2002, Friesen has served as the Power Creative Designer-in-Residence, a full-time faculty position in the Communication Art & Design BFA program at the University of Louisville’s Hite Art Institute. In addition, she continues to work as a designer through Point A Consulting.  • After graduating cum laude from the University of Louisville in 1980 with a degree in Fine Arts, where she concentrated both on photography and graphic design, Friesen worked for more than four years as Assistant Art Director for Louisville Magazine. • From 1985 until 2002, Friesen headed a graphic design group within the public relations and marketing firm, New!West. During that time, the focus of her design work was on internal and human resources communication for clients including Yum!Brands, KFC, Humana, and GE.

 

philcooleyPhil Cooley has been a professional photographer for 25 years. He has produced award winning photographs for clients such as GE Aviation, GE Appliances, Proctor and Gamble, Tempur-Pedic, and Lexmaark. After 20 years as a Senior Photographer at Power Creative, Phil left the agency to form his own freelance business where he continues to produce imagery for advertising agencies as well as corporate clients. Timeline PhotosCALLING ALL MURALISTS: Proposals for NoCo Alleyway Name Mural, 5,000 dollar commission, deadline June 16th JPAC is seeking 2D artists to submit a proposal for a name/text mural to be placed at the future entrance to the NoCo Arts and Cultural District. This mural will serve as a connection point for visitors between the public parking area and the district. The mural will be painted on the surface of a repurposed metal corrugated shipping container that is 40 feet X 8 feet. The mural will face the alleyway that will house the future NoCo Paint Box Garden (opens summer of 2021). The mural should feature the “NoCo Arts and Cultural District” name prominently.
