Jason Laughlin graduated from the University of Louisville in the year 2000, which turned out to be a much less exciting year than many anticipated. During college and beyond he did tours of duty (and he means that in the nicest way) with The DeLor Group, Abney Huninghake Design and red7e. While at these agencies he did work for Churchill Downs, AAA, Sprint, Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, and others – many, many others. • Currently Jason is a Senior Designer with Kindred Healthcare, where he helps to guide the brand of a Fortune 500, 55,000-employee behemoth. All the while he works to show the world that in-house designers can do great work. He has a shelf somewhere with Louisville Graphic Design Association (LGDA) 100 Show Gold and Silver Awards and Louies and an Addy thrown in there somewhere to prove it.
Patrick has been honored to photograph the nation’s first hand transplant and Kentucky’s first heart transplant. He has covered such dignitaries as the 24th US Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, Yum! CEO David Novak and Mother Teresa. He has worked with major corporations such as Humana,Toyota and Brown-Forman. In the realm of academia, Patrick has photographed for the University of Louisville, Indiana University and Ball State University.
Patrick began his illustrious career photographing for a local newspaper and has since been published in such journalistic endeavors as Life Magazine-Pictures of the Year, The Wall Street Journal, Time, Wine Spectator and Forbes.
Anne Sallee Miles is the owner and Toad-in-Chief at Red Toad Media. A trained graphic designer, Anne’s strength lies in her ability to translate messages to the web through user interface design, web graphic and animation design, web copywriting and social media marketing. Anne has served on the boards of Louisville Women in Technology and also as President of Women in Networking 2 (WIN2). She was a presenter at WordCamp Louisville in 2010 and 2011, speaking about UX. Anne has worked with illustrators to design children’s books, worked with programmers and usability experts to create software interfaces, and has developed training programs and other multimedia resources for Fortune 500 companies in addition to designing web sites and developing traditional print campaigns. Anne has done editorial design for a national magazine and served as an instructor in programming and web graphic design at the college level. She has been interviewed by Inc Magazine and the Wall Street Journal and published a contribution for Smashing Magazine, one of the top web design blogs in the world. The article is due to be included in their next book on UI.
