Danielle Collings (Poole)Freelance Graphic DesignerBrown-Forman Corporation
Danielle has been working as a freelance graphic designer for the past two years. She is currently freelancing for Brown-Forman Corporation. Brown-Forman is one of the largest American-owned companies in the spirits and wine business. She works with Southern Comfort Brands, Jack Daniel’s, Old Forester and Tuaca. She works primarily in print but has recently been doing some experiential design.
After graduating from Ivy Tech, she started where many aspiring designers start … laying out classified ads. At JV Rockwell Publishing, Danielle designed ads for the Louisville Autos Magazine (a weekly publication). While not her dream job, she was thankful to have found a position moving in the right direction.
From there, she went on to work as a Production Artist/Designer for a small marketing firm called Engage-In-Store. There she designed weekly ads for companies such as K-mart, Target, Winn-Dixie, and Publix. After the company went out of business in 2012, she began freelancing for Scoppechio (then Creative Alliance). This is where she found her career path — offering her design services exclusively to one large company. She continued to work there in-house, 5 days a week, until leaving in 2014. This is when she began to freelance from home for Brown-Forman.
