2018 Art Jam Call for Entries

High School Art Competition DEADLINE TO ENTER IS February 26, 2018.

Attention all High School Students with an interest in the visual arts, currently enrolled at a Southern Indiana or Metro Louisville public or private High School or College Preparatory School. If you paint, illustrate, sculpt, design, draw, photograph, or just create art, you are eligible to enter Ivy Tech Southern Indiana Art Jam Competition. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are eligible. All student entries must have been created as the result of a real classroom assignment or can be worked on independently with direction from your instructor and be your interpretation of the topic, “Change.

You may be eligible to win a scholarship to Ivy Tech Southern Indiana! Just fill out the entry form below!

Categories:

Illustration
This includes painting, drawing, calligraphy, and photo composition. Any mediums—from graphite to digital—are accepted.

Graphic Design
Any variety of print media—including logo design and identity, posters, brochures, invitations, book designs, advertising, and wearables—is accepted.

Interactive
Any variety of interface design—including websites, promotional CD demonstrations, interactive exhibits or multimedia presentations.

Photography
Everything except your family vacation snapshots—artistic, commercial, journalistic, and political photography is accepted. Make sure your photos are printed and mounted according to our rules.

3d Media
This includes sculptures, pottery, assemblages, any artwork that you can view from from 360° and can be delivered without renting a semi-truck.

Textiles
This includes arts and crafts that use plant, animal, or synthetic fibers to construct practical or decorative objects.

Timeline PhotosCALLING ALL MURALISTS: Proposals for NoCo Alleyway Name Mural, 5,000 dollar commission, deadline June 16th JPAC is seeking 2D artists to submit a proposal for a name/text mural to be placed at the future entrance to the NoCo Arts and Cultural District. This mural will serve as a connection point for visitors between the public parking area and the district. The mural will be painted on the surface of a repurposed metal corrugated shipping container that is 40 feet X 8 feet. The mural will face the alleyway that will house the future NoCo Paint Box Garden (opens summer of 2021). The mural should feature the “NoCo Arts and Cultural District” name prominently. Congratulations to Aung Oo. His photograph "Under the Bridge" won a National Addy. We will find out on June 11th if it got Gold or Silver. This is very exciting as winning a National ADDY is statistically the most difficult creative award to receive. Congratulations, well deserved! ...
